Board Meetings

All Board meetings are open to the public. Typical items for consideration and discussion at Regular Board meetings include the budget, the tax levy, review of the month's bills, and sale or purchase of Township real property or equipment. All agenda items are discussed, and Board members are provided background information on each item in advance of the meeting. The Supervisor presides at meetings of the Board.

Workshop meetings may also be held. These meetings are used for in-depth discussions on various issues. This is a discussion forum for the Board and no action is taken during a Workshop meeting. If there is pressing business that needs to be addressed before the next regular meeting, the Board may, with 18 hours public notice, designate the Workshop meeting as a Special meeting.

The Board is eager to receive public comment and respects the rights of citizens to participate in the legislative process. At the end of each meeting time is scheduled for citizen comments on the issues. The board meets every third Monday at 7:00 pm at the Lowell Township Hall. Click here for archived minutes of meetings
